    I think he left because it hurts his ego too much to watch the evolution of the welterweight class and mma in general take place right before his eyes, leaving him behind. I have lots of respect for Matt Hughes as an athlete, but in my opinion, he is acting immature and it doesn’t come off well…. Saying that GSP’s performance takes him OUT of the p4p rankings is ridiculous. GSP outstrikes an accomplished #1 contender trained at AKA, and outwrestles the guy, who is also a former Purdue wrestling captain, and most importantly, puts it all together in the Octagon for 25 minutes, all to retain the title he won from Hughes… I don’t get Matt’s line of thinking…

    matt hughes is such a jerkoff, hes just jealous cuz hes over the hill. what a shit talking fucking loser, on 3 separate occasions he shows blatant hatred towards georges, probably because he got FUCKED UP really badly and finished on both occasions they fought. poor baby. go practice your striking you corn fed southern bred dumb ass, maybe another 15 years of thai boxing and you’ll be able to throw a decent anything.
